The brief for this ground floor restaurant at the Hoxton Williamsburg hotel was to create a space that is both a welcome gathering place for locals and a destination for the international travelers alike. The elevated living room ambiance of the adjacent lobby, with a pallet of muted candy colors and vintage inspired silhouettes, is threaded throughout the restaurant space. Klein’s features a show kitchen, custom range from Molteni, private dining area, central bar, and garage doors that open up to the main hotel courtyard. Softening the industrial architecture is a playful curation of art by local artists, vintage books, oversized lamps, and Italian chandeliers from the 1960s.
